the Annulilux is a species of holy demon known for their strong healing abilities and wisdom. they are thought to be derived from the sun because of the halo disks and gold appearance, but this is untrue. they are rare in numbers, and tend to attach themselves to small groups of humans for support and protection. their species has been given the nickname "holy healers" and "medicine gods". the Annulilux species has two genders, male and female, different in physical appearance, but no actual mating members. the 'mating' is simply a bond between the two and simply causes a newborn to split from the mother's 'heart core'

bio: Alaxindar is a nomadic demon. born in a deadly mountain range, he'd had no contact with any humans till a elderly man, wandering the mountains after loosing his way to his village, stumbled upon him. alax was drawn to the man and his knowledge, and the two seemed to form a friendship, mostly over the fact that alax had saved the man after he was bitten by a poisonous snake.

the man, hearing the demon's pleas after alax had adopted the new language, took him to his small village at the foot of the mountain. here he'd spend most of his life, consuming any knowledge he could find as well as healing the sick of the little isolated village. he lived though many of their generations, but as time passed and he watched those around him grow old and die, he'd developed an obsession with the balance of life and death. this obsession, coupled with his thirst for knowledge, spurred him to seek out things he could not obtain yet.

as time past, and technology advanced, the outside world descended upon the small village when outsiders started to come to the village. at first they were rare, and were chased away from the village for any small wrong move, but soon whole teams showed up, many interested in the 'kind demon' the village became known for. this was a golden opportunity for Alax. he would heal these outsiders when they came to him, but he held a price for what he did. he demanded no gold, no money, or trinkets, but knowledge. books were his preferred income.

this opportunity also proved to be a double bladed sword. outsiders encroached on the village, starting fights about not trusting demons the way they did. tempers broke one day when a boy was shot and killed for defending the alax when the outsiders talked dirt of him. this erupted into violence that consumed and destroyed the village. to alax, this was a deep lose, yet another page for his tome.

he fled from the decaying village armed only with the knowledge he'd gathered in the tome he carried. though he was burdened with the demise of what was his home, his obsession then consumed him as a way to avoid this sadness and find a better path. in his travels he'd leaned of D.A.M.M.E.D. and saw it as a unique opportunity to really witness the balance of life and death at work. what better place then where death and life stood toe to toe in a dance of war?

alax can defend himself with the rings on his body, using them as transistors to project small light barriers as hard as diamond for a small amount of time
alax seems cold and unresponsive, but the right words can get him going
alax's blood is held in an orb inside his chest cavity. the blood is very bitter but can cause light headedness and even loss of conscious after drinking.
alax can rotate any part of his body 360 degrees, but not for long
